Yasmin Zammit Stevens - National Champion Weightlifter

Yazmin is Malta'a Weightlifting National Champion, National Records holder and is also this years Sportswomen of the year. This year she competed at the European Championships where she ranked 18th in Europe. She has also become the first Maltese Person ever to compete at the World Championships last October!

The World Championships were her first qualifying event for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, with the Europeans being the second. She will continue to compete in qualification events in hopes of making the Olympic team in the next year.
