Danica Bonello Spiteri

Danica has a unique background, being both a high level athlete as well as a Sports and Exercise Medicine (SEM) doctor.

As a SEM doctor, Danica studied at the University of Malta to obtain her undergraduate degree in medicine in 2004. Since then she has read for her membership of the Royal College of Physicians (2009), Masters in SEM (Bath, 2010), Fellow of the Faculty of SEM (Scotland, 2014) and Masters in Sports Biomechanics (2015).

She currently has her own private sports medicine clinics in Malta, as well as working as a consultant to the England Football Association. Running biomechanics are a favourite area of interest, helping injured runners correct their running mechanics through run technique courses.

Working as a team player and good communication skills are the essential basis on which Danica believes in and work with, as this will ensure a good all round service provision for the patient and will reflect well on the team providing the care.
